Halloween hurly-burly is here! So I was thinking that maybe it’s time to write about the coolest things in America. And praise the land that I secretly admire. Here’s why.
Movie like scenes
When I went to the United States for the first time, straight away I felt like being in the movie settings. This comes from the fact that we see so much America on film. It is a cool feeling! Diners. Chess floor lobbies. Offside motels. Super-sized meals. Gallons. Entertaining spots + Crazy Vegas! Hillbilly wretched villages… America is a melting pot of different settings.
Yankee smile is true. In my experience, most of the people seem to be in a good mood and when I have got to talk with them, they are truly interested where I come from and how are my travels going. A taxi driver might surprise me by knowing some Finnish rally drivers that I hadn’t heard of. Which was remarkable because somebody, on the other hand, couldn’t tell which direction is Grand Canyon even we were fairly close and it’s huge! Anyway, American people are very friendly and I felt warmly welcome to be there.
Hell of a rollercoasters
Oh my whatta amusement parks they have and so many with different themes. Already in the relatively small area in California there were several and we had to pay attention to find the right one! I have never got such a ride as I had in the Six Flags! The rollercoaster rides lasted three minutes and they were rash! I started to feel sick at one point because we had the platinum pass and we could do the uncomfortable line passage… I felt ashamed. I would suck if I was some kind of Very Important Person hahaha!
Huge supermarkets, many different chains. And can you imagine; it is just so much fun to stroll along there. They have thousands of small things in the alleys that are enchanting you. In fact, my friend did a souvenir shopping at Safeway in Hawaii because she found that she could find some nice little souvenirs to many of her friends in the low price. I myself was fascinated about all the mini travel sized items that are so handy. No weight and so cheap compared to Europe where all the small things cost fortunes!
This country is so varied and beautiful when it comes to nature. Natural wonders are huge scale. There is everything in America. I’m wishing to do another US road trip very soon.
Dreams and stars
Obama, Andy Warhol, Jack Kerouac, Prince, Edgar Allan Poe, January Jones, Whitney Houston, Jackie Kennedy, Shaun White… So many great persons and skilled artists are rising there. Even though the stars in the flag are representing the 50 states, I could name fifty favorite talents of mine. The country is not equal and it’s difficult to get on, but it surely provokes dreams and Cinderella stories – which come over to a visitor!
