Hello, greetings from Rome! It was nice to wake up in an eternal city. We flew here late night with a two-thirds empty plane – whatta ecological catastrophe! So it’s nice to start a train trip through Europe from here. That will be the coolest trip for a while! I was planning to do the InterRail last summer when I turned thirty but then I got other plans. Now the universe sorted it out and in fact VR, the Finnish train network did; I got the InterRail tickets because they have a nice campaign going on. So here I am at the starting point in Rome planning to dress up and go for an ice-cream – gelato – breakfast since the taxi driver pointed the best gelateria, and it happens to be next to out hotel.
I feel so great about going travelling to Europe; I have only made single trips to different cities before – not like in Oceania or America where I have travelled more in a row. We have around three weeks so of course, we won’t see miracles in that period but it should be more like a spontaneous adventure. That’s when it’s sticks to the blog theme, enjoying the moment.
I keep it short this time, just wanted to let you know I’m here, safe and sound hahhaa, and to tell you to watch my Finnish monologues on VR InterRail Facebook page. Antti will stay behind the camera and I will talk for half an hour – on the coming Wednesday at 18:30 Finland’s time and Friday 22nd of July at the same time.
See you live! PS. I finally started my SnapChat. Follow that and of course my Instagram which I use the most! Whattawowword!
Here are a few pics from my previous trip to Rome, that was seven years ago…
