Just lately I realized that I’m a lucky girl – I have a box full of nice jewellery… But why the hell I am not using them?! So I decided to girlymize my dressing code for a while and create myself a jewellery campaign to test my jewellery out a bit and try to remember to wear them more often in future.
Jewellery are great because they add some flavour to your outfit and help creating a theme; I love dressing up accordingly – if I’m going to a certain place I’m creating a theme, or sometimes even just for fun to play with my imagination. Makes life more interesting and you to look personal!
These past days I had fun having six different looks inspired and highlighted by some of my jewellery. Which style you like the most?
Downtown Classy Look
Inspired by Efva Attling – shaped silver heart and chain
Downtown girl living in her Whattawowworld! This is the “going out for a drink or two, when the sun is still up” look! That’s a nice thing to do here in Malta. I call those days luxurious Saturdays. What is the loveliest part is that the sea is just everywhere, surrounding the life here and giving the warm breeze as a notice to remember to breath and enjoy That exact moment!
Inspired by Taraxca Jewellery feather earrings
When I’m going to a hippie festival, I’m imagining a John Lennon look – indigenous feathers modernised by the new RayBan mirror shades – of course round like Lennon would have loved them! In fact many times I look as easy-going as this great dreamer – natural, that’s the word to me! I found these lovely feathers in a design store of Granville Island / Vancouver – souvenir from travels for myself!
Thanks God! Look
Inspired by a golden cross and armored chain
My home island Malta is very very catholic and there are 365 churches – for each day of the year! I’m not that religious. But I’m totally up for that idea, that there is some great force above that has created all this unbelievable beauty and the miracle of the world! Just think about it – it’s clear there’s something! I have no problem calling that something God. I don’t mind different religions; it’s just some whatever God to me and mostly, one love! And I am very grateful to be part of this world. Thanks God!
Elovena (Finnish Maid) Look
Inspired by Hawaii Pearl Factory’s Blue Pearls
Oh Hawaii! That place is heaven on Earth – a pure jewellery itself! No wonder, I have bought three pairs of pearl earrings from there. Pink, black and these blue ones – that so beautifully reflect different colours and the colour of my eyes, as they are the same! I also put on the one and only ring that I own (can’t really wear rings, not used to them) – a little blue sapphire ring that I got from my sister. I accidentally put it on the alular digit – the marry finger first! The not-that-young lady has been dreaming too much! Since I have not learned to wear rings yet, I have decided I won’t even buy one myself – I’m waiting that right one to do that move!
Baby Doll Look
Inspired by Swarovski crystal heart
When going to Valletta – the old castle town, you need to be carrying a romantic pink heart with a silk ribbon and armour like pink top, of course! I love Valletta – the capital of Malta. The beautiful place will be in fact the European cultural capital in 2018.
Badgal HeRi Look
Inspired by Secrets Shhh white gold necklace with zirconia pendant, having H as Henna, and Esprit silver “bling” earrings
Oh na na, what’s my name! This is my rap chick look! If it hasn’t come clear yet, I love hip hop. Gangsta rap is the one and only music that I’m listening while lifting up the weights at gym for instance and that I love so much to dance! Quite a funny paradox listening all that b*tch bullshit and enjoying it so much hahaa! I was so happy to come home one afternoon having a delivery waiting for me – from far away, all the way from Australia. My Aussie cousins had sent the B-Day girl, lil h, the loveliest shiny present! Thanks!!!
Shine bright like a diamond everybody!
